Artyom DERVOED

Artyom Dervoed is a distinguished guitarist, one of the greatest current performers of Johann Sebastian Bach. Artyom Dervoed directs the classical guitar department of the Bashmet Center in Moscow and teaches a group of selected young players from the prestigious Gnessin Academy as well as the Moscow University of Culture and Arts. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the Guitar Virtuosi Moscow International Festival, presented by the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra at Tchaikovsky Hall.

"The Possessed", Artyom Dervoed's new recital programme, is inspired by and dedicated to the great master Niccolo Paganini and includes original guitar works and transcriptions of Paganini's masterpieces, such as the famous Grand Sonata and La Campanella, as well as works by other composers, who have paid tribute to the Grand Virtuoso, including music written for Artyom Dervoed.
