Terra Viva

A dialogue between Nathalie Guiot and the Gallery Amélie du Chalard

Terra Viva, an exhibition from October 23rd to October 31st 2025 at the Galerie Amélie du Chalard, in Paris.

Terra Viva is a unique and poetic exhibition that offers a dialogue between two women involved in art and design, Nathalie Guiot, art collector, exhibition curator and entrepreneur, and Amélie du Chalard, gallery owner and business leader. Straddling boundaries between gallery and private collection, this curatorial conversation offers a sensitive interpretation of life. Nathalie Guiot draws on the gallery's artistic pool to select pieces that dialogue with her collection, revealing an intimate glimpse into her world as a collector, while celebrating an anniversary: the 10th anniversary of her foundation. The Thalie Foundation is committed to contemporary creation, particularly for women artists, global majority scenes, bio-design and the art of ecological narratives.

Terra Viva presents a constellation of artists who, each in their own way, work to re-enchant matter. Wood, textiles, paper, bronze, or natural fragments: all become raw materials for an artistic language that oscillates between memory and identity. Coming from diverse backgrounds, from Morocco to Brazil, France to Japan, artists in the collection share a curiosity for the hybridization of forms and skills, combining craftsmanship, installation, sculpture, photography and painting. What unites these works is a shared attention to the sensory, a way of inviting the viewer to enter a world where the object becomes a narrative, where matter becomes poetry, and where each artistic gesture opens up a shared imaginary space.

The artists from the Collection included in the exhibition are: Amina Agueznay, Alma Allen, Daniela Busarello, Claudia Comte, Florence Di Benedetto, Latifa Echakhch,  Sidival Fila, Noemie Goudal, Sheila Hicks, Suzanne Husky, Eva Jospin, Benoît Maire, José Maria Sicilia, Isa Melsheimer, Sabine Mirlesse, Raphaëlle Peria, Elise Peroi, Solange Pessoa, Benoît Plateus, Edgar Sarin, Jacqueline Surdell, Natsuko Uchino, and Adrien Vescovi.
