The Foundation gives a voice to visual artists, writers, philosophers and filmmakers in an online conversation format and in pairs.
These exchanges aim at questioning the current world, raising awareness, inventing new narratives in the light of the health and ecological crisis.
- Which commitment and responsibility do the artist and the philosopher have regarding this crisis?
- How are artistic and writing practices impacted? Which behaviour should individually and collectively be implemented?
- What new way to produce and display art while public engagement becomes increasingly immaterial?
- Which vision and creativeness to be impulsed for reinventing tomorrow's world?
Themes : Symbiotic and generative economy / Phytocene / Biotiope philosophy / Developmental biology / Progressive ecological thinking / The power of plants and flowers / Plants as living beings
Speakers
Born in 1961 in Vendée, France. Fabrice Hyber lives and works in Paris and Vendée.
Golden Lion of the Venice Biennale in 1997, his work creates new energy from interdisciplinary dialogues (physics, neuroscience, astronomy, phytotherapy). Nature and lifeworld are explored at will and take on hybrid or cellular forms upon diverse medium. Outside the studio, the artist has been planting thousands of trees since 1995. Initiating poetic metamorphosis, foreseeing the mutations to come, Fabrice Hyber shifts the limits and opens up possibilities through public and private commissioned works all over the world. Fabrice Hyber is represented by Galerie Nathalie Obadia, Paris & Brussels.
Last exhibition, « Habiter la forêt » on view through 19 December 2020, Galerie Nathalie Obadia, Paris.
