Culture et Marges, Centre vidéo de Bruxelles (CVB)

Co-production: Centre vidéo de Bruxelles, Schaerbeek
Project supported in 2016, in the context of an open call for projects.

Through a process of interviews and artistic creation by video artists, a dozen young people (aged 18-25) made a film documenting their journey through a cultural world they rarely encounter, in search of new interfaces between their own sensibility and the specific qualities of the museums they visited. During a six-month period, they visited multiple museums, met the museum directors, explored the collections and sought to frame their artistic practices through the lens of their own cultural references, using their own tools (photos, Smartphone, drawings etc.). A way to inspire personal reflection by showing their vision of the museum as an institution.
