Founder and President, collector and patron of the Arts, Nathalie Guiot will close the space of the Fondation Thalie in Brussels in 2025. Following the 10th anniversary exhibition Regenerative Futures, which brings together around forty creators and designers to reflect on the theme of the living world and ecological narratives, she will launch ALEOR Craft & Biodesign, a gallery dedicated to design focusing on living matter and the promotion of know-hows.
The Foundation will continue its commitment through a nomadic format with production grants, an art collection and publications.

This autumn period marks the start of a new cycle: the exhibition Regenerative Futures in Brussels celebrates a decade of philanthropic action and support for creativity within the Foundation that I created. This show, meaningful in various ways, has been devoted—through ecological narratives and bio- inspired design—to subjects that I have been concerned with in recent years.
In 2025, I will launch ALEOR Craft & Biodesign, a gallery dedicated to design focused on the living world and savoir-faire, offering limited series of objects designed using natural or reused resources.
The Foundation will continue its philanthropic commitment with off-site actions, while closing its space in Brussels and our artist residencies will continue through the end of the year.
Since 2014, the Foundation has established itself as an institution committed to diverse artistic creation, inviting established artists as well as the emerging scene to address societal issues.
Since 2018, hosted in a 1920s-era architectural house in Brussels, we have organized collective and monographic exhibitions including such artists as Gyan Panchal, Karine Rougier, Agnès Thurnauer, Caroline Achaintre, Nicolas Floc’h, Kiki Smith, and Eva Jospin; in our space in Arles, we presented the work of Jeanne Vicerial and Sara Ouhaddou. We also provided research residencies for artists and authors, while showcasing the collection and programming cultural and educational activities.
The Foundation champions a dialogue between visual arts and savoir-faire, promoting creation committed to ecological awareness. Thanks to the “Créateurs Urgence Climat” programme (which includes conferences and podcasts with more than 310,000 listeners), we have facilitated interdisciplinary exchanges between artists, designers and scientists while contributing to the collective writing of new stories in a post-carbon era.
Through the Ecodesign and Creation Chair— that I encouraged with Decathlon launched in partnership with the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris and spearheaded by academic director Emmanuel Tibloux—I was introduced to a new generation of designers that are visionary and abundantly creative. These young talents are sensitive to the adaptation challenges inflicted by climate change, embodying a regenerative vision of design which I am proud to support.
With a new team, ALEOR Craft & Biodesign will extend this approach, exploring innovative materials such as algae, mycelium and insect leather to propose new modes of eco-design allying habitat and solution oriented design.
I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Brussels team, namely Julien Amicel, Jenna Barberot, and Héloïse Robinot for their unwavering commitment, to the collaborators who participated in the project, to the exhibition curators who helped me build the programme: Yann Chateigné Tytelman, Ludovic Delalande, Joël Riff, Philippe Terrier-Hermann, Anissa Touati, Chiara Vecchiarelli, Stefano Vendramin. I warmly thank the community of artists, designers, authors and thinkers with whom I was lucky enough to collaborate: more than 800 remarkable personalities. Thank you also to the institutional partners, patrons and administrators of the Foundation.
These ten years of philanthropy have taught me that great ambitions are achieved through the power of the collective. Faced with climate challenges, I’m convinced, more than ever, that our energy must be used to preserve the Living.
